A Franklin County judge has ruled that Ohio’s EdChoice school voucher programs are unconstitutional, delivering a victory to public school advocates and setting the stage for a likely appeal on a case over education funding in the state.
Dan Heintz, a Cleveland Heights-University Heights school board member, said that Page’s decision isn’t just a win for the plaintiffs such as his school district. It’s a win for taxpayers. The legislature has spent nearly $1 billion this school year on all five school voucher programs.
