Hi, Bob - I'm not sure that data is compiled all in one place, though most states have pay scales available. That said, Gov. Lee has performed an interesting rhetorical trick - he's promised that starting teacher pay in TN will be in the top 10 in the nation by 2026 - but has based that claim on today's numbers. As noted in my post, Alabama's starting pay is already above TN's - so is Kentucky's. Of course, there's no way to know what other states will do (or not do) over the next three years. Alabama has been raising teacher pay at a rapid pace. Heck, Mississippi is boosting teacher pay - and Gov. Sanders of Arkansas has also claimed to be raising starting teacher pay there to 50K by 2026 - by the time starting TN teacher pay is at 50K (if it reaches that point), other states may have surpassed that number - Alabama's gov has promised her state will have the highest starting teacher pay in the Southeast by the end of her term, and the numbers show she's moving faster than Lee.
Where can I find a state by state ranking of beginning teacher pay. Rankings of average pay do not refute Governor Lee’s claim.

When can we receive a review regarding Governor Lee’s claim that the planned teacher pay raises will place TN in the top ten
Hi, Bob - thanks for asking!
I've included some notes on Lee's teacher pay claims here:
