I'm really glad that Tim Walz is on the ticket. His track record in education and coaching should help get public schools the love and support they need and deserve. Making school compulsory, but not feeding students while they're made to be there, is a seriously uneducated policy. Free school meals should be a no-brainer. I know it's such a widely used trope, but Republicans (the ones who are most against putting money into schools) only care about kids before they're actually born.
